March 20, 2020—To help ensure the health and welfare of people in our community, LEEA member groups have canceled or postponed most of their upcoming events. The Centers for Disease Control and other authorities have recommended against hosting mass gatherings in order to slow the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). We want to do our part to mitigate the impacts of this illness.
Please contact each host organization directly to verify if a particular event is happening.
The Loudoun Environmental Education Alliance (LEEA) will host its third annual Loudoun Nature Days celebration in April 2020. It’s an invitation for people of all ages to spend time in Loudoun’s great outdoors and experience nature through recreation, citizen science, and community service.
Loudoun Nature Days activities, designed to meet people’s diverse interests, are highlighted on the LEEA calendar. Check out the menu of nature-based events happening throughout the county in April (view as a list)!
“We want to foster a love of nature and encourage stewardship of our county’s natural resources,” says Charlotte DeMolay of Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District, a LEEA member. “We also want to connect community members with local groups that provide engaging experiences year-round.”
